Diana Yahya is a private piano teacher in San Marcos, California. She has been teaching classical piano for over 20 years in her independent piano studio in Seattle, Los Angeles, Arizona and San Diego. She teaches students of all ages from beginner to advance levels using combination of Suzuki Piano principles and traditional method. Her vibrant studio includes students who are studying music for their personal enjoyment as well as those who are participating in Certificate of Merit, festivals and competitions. Her goal in teaching is to help students discover and reach their full musical potential for any musical aspirations they have.
Diana Yahya holds a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Southern California and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Washington. She also has completed several levels of teacher training at the Suzuki Summer Institute.
Ms. Yahya has performed extensively since an early age as both soloist and chamber musician. In 2005, she was featured as a soloist playing Mozart piano concerto in G Major, No. 22, with the University of Washington Symphony Orchestra conducted by Peter Erös. Additional highlights include performance of Beethoven Piano Trio Op.1 no.1, first movement in the Mainly Mozart Overture concert at the Balboa Theater with violinist Richard Conviser and cellist Jenn Rawlins and performance of Fuchs' Piano Trio Op.115 in The Chamber Players of the North Coast Symphony Orchestra concert at Encinitas Library, with violinist Cheryl Swem and violist Dan Swem.
Ms. Yahya is an active member of Music Teachers Association of California Northern San Diego chapter. She is also a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs.
